Revs drop back end of two-game road series, set to return home next Saturday
FRISCO, Texas – Andres Escobar’s 29th-minute goal proved to be the difference as FC Dallas earned a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution tonight at Toyota Stadium. FCD added a second goal in stoppage time to post the final score.
New England (7-10-2, 23 pts.) saw its losing streak extend to seven games as Dallas (8-7-5, 29 pts.) out-shot the Revs 24-9 overall. Bobby Shuttleworth made seven saves in the loss.
The Revs are set to return home next Saturday, July 26, when the team hosts the Columbus Crew at Gillette Stadium. A limited number of Andrew Farrell bobbleheads will be given away at the stadium entry gates. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and the match will be televised on Comcast SportsNet and carried on the radio by 98.5 The Sports Hub.
