YESTERDAY’S NEWS: The Red Sox dropped a 6-3 deci- sion to the Blue Jays yesterday in Dunedin…It was the first of two spring contests against the Blue Jays, with the other coming in split-squad action on 4/1 at JetBlue Park. Garin Cecchini led the club with 3 hits (3-for-3)… Daniel Nava had 2 hits, with a double and an RBI… Brock Holt and Allen Craig also drove in a run each. Henry Owens started and took the loss (3.0+ IP, 5 , 2 HR)…Dalier Hinojosa (1.0 IP), Dana Eveland (0.1 IP), and Edwin Escobar (1.0 IP) pitched scoreless relief while Brian Johnson allowed one run in 2.2 innings.
