MAY 11th INDIANAPOLIS (18-13) at PAWTUCKET (18-13) 7:05 pm

Indianapolis Indians LHP Charlie Leesman (4-1, 3.05) vs. Pawtucket Red Sox RHP Jess Todd (0-0, 3.38)

Battle of Division Leaders – The IL North-leading Pawtucket Red Sox return to McCoy Stadium for their usual 7-game Monday – Sunday homestand beginning tonight at 7:05 pm when they host the IL West-leading Indianapolis Indians. Both teams come into play tonight with identical 18-13 records on the season and both have slim leads atop their respective divisions (the Sox by 1-game over Rochester and the Indians by a ½-game over Columbus). This will mark the second of five consecutive homestands here at McCoy that begin on a Monday night and run through Sunday afternoon (this stretch started on April 27 and will end on June 28).

This Homestand – Pawtucket and Indy will play tonight and tomorrow night at 7:05 pm (as the PawSox start with their regular 7:05 pm weeknight starts for the remainder of the season). The teams will conclude the series with a Wednesday afternoon matinee at 12:05 pm. Pawtucket will then entertain Columbus for a 4-game series this Thursday and Friday at 7:05 pm, Saturday at 6:05 pm, and Sunday at 1:05 pm. The Sox will be looking for a measure of revenge against the Clippers who just swept them over the weekend.

NEXT ON TAP – The probable pitching match-ups for the remainder of the series vs. Indianapolis at McCoy:

Tues.7:05 pmRHP Adrian Sampson (2-3, 2.80)vs.RHP Keith Couch (1-4, 6.23)
Wed. 12:05 pmLHP Clayton Richard (NR)vs.LHP Eddie Rodriguez (3-1, 2.73)

Tale of Two Cities – The PawSox are coming off a 3-3 roadtrip to Ohio that began extremely well with a sweep of their 3-game series in Toledo last week but ended on a downer with the PawSox getting swept in a 3-game set at Columbus over the weekend. Despite it all, Pawtucket left McCoy a week ago Sunday (May 3rd) in a tie for 2nd-place (-½ GB) but they return alone in 1st-place (+ 1-game).
