TOLEDO (41-52) at PAWTUCKET (50-44) 11:05 am
Toledo Mud Hens RHP Drew VerHagen (6-7, 4.95) vs. Pawtucket Red Sox RHP Kyle Kendrick (3-6, 6.84)
Sweep Dreams in the Morning – The Pawtucket Red Sox – winners of 8 in a row – look for a sweep of the Toledo Mud Hens when they play the finale of their 3-game series today at 11:05 am at McCoy Stadium. The PawSox are coming off a 4-game sweep in Syracuse this past weekend and now have a chance today to sweep this 3-game set over the Mud Hens after 9-8 and 6-0 victories the past two nights. Pawtucket has not swept consecutive series since late in the 2015 season when they swept a 3-game set at home vs. Scranton/WB from August 24-26 followed by a 2-game sweep in Buffalo on August 27 & 28 of 2105.
Good Morning – This is the last of four scheduled morning starts here at McCoy in 2017…the second year the PawSox have played a handful of 11:05 am home games. The first this season was a 5-2 loss to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on May 10. The others were on May 25 vs. Louisville (rained-out), June 7 vs. Syracuse (6-1 win), and today vs. Toledo. Pawtucket also played their one (and only) morning game on the road this season on May 18, an 11-10 defeat in 11-innings. The PawSox are 14-14 in day games this season compared to 36-30 in night games.
