PAWTUCKET (34-35) at GWINNETT (32-35) 2:05 pm

Pawtucket Red Sox RHP Jess Todd (2-2, 5.22) vs. Gwinnett Braves RHP Alex White (0-0, 0.00)

PawSox Go For Three In a Row – The Pawtucket Red Sox complete the back half of their 6-game southern swing Sunday afternoon with the finale of a 3-game weekend series against the Gwinnett Braves. The PawSox – who were swept in a 3-game series in Charlotte to begin this trip – won the first two at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA.

PAW SOX LOGOSweep Apnea – The PawSox are trying to follow the 3-game sweep they suffered at the hands of the Charlotte Knights this week by taking all three from Gwinnett. The Sox would earn their third series sweep with a win today (they took all four games from Rochester April 16-9 and swept a three-game set in Toledo May 5-7). In Charlotte, the PawSox dropped the first two games by 2-0 and 7-5 scores and then last night lost by a 15-5 final – their largest margin of defeat this season and the most runs they have given up in a game since last August 23 in a 15-2 loss in Buffalo. The PawSox have now been swept in three series this season and all have been 3-game sets …May 8-10 in Columbus, May 25-27 at home vs. Scranton/WB, and June 16-18 in Charlotte.

Cool Dudes – The PawSox have won 15 of their last 16 games they have played at Coolray Field dating back to the 2011 season (2-0 this year and 3-1 last season after going 4-0 in both 2013 & 2012 and winning the final two meetings in Georgia in 2011). They lost last August 12th to snap an 11-game winning streak at the ballpark. Their last loss at Coolray prior to that game had come on August 13, 2011 when they fell to the Braves, 4-2.
Lots of Braves and Red Wings – The PawSox will play only two teams for the remainder of June – Gwinnett and Rochester. Pawtucket has six games scheduled against the Braves between June 19th and June 28th. They will take on Rochester eight times from June 22nd through July 1st (including the resumption of a rain-suspended game from June 5th).

The Road Home – Pawtucket returns to McCoy Stadium this coming Monday for yet another 7-game homestand which is their second straight in June and the 5th time in 6 tries this year that they will play a 7-game homestand (the other was a 6-gamer at the end of May). After this 7-gamer the Sox will have a 2-game homestand, a 3-game homestand, and a 6-game homestand (all in July) and then a 4-gamer and a season-high 9-game homestand (both in August) before finishing the season with a 7-game homestand from September 1-7. The upcoming homestand will feature 4-games vs. Rochester (June 22-25 all at 7:05 pm) followed by a 3-game weekend set vs. Gwinnett on Friday, June 26 at 7:05 pm, Saturday, June 27 at 6:05 pm, and Sunday, June 28 at 1:05 pm.
