BRUINS ACTIVATE FORWARD DAVID KREJCI FROM INJURED RESERVE AND ASSIGN FORWARD FRANK VATRANO TO PROVIDENCE BRUINS
BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 21, that the club has activated forward David Krejci from injured reserve and has assigned forward Frank Vatrano to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).
In 35 games this season, Krejci has tallied 11 goals and 22 assists (fourth on the team) for 33 points (tied for third on the team). In nine-plus NHL seasons, all with the Bruins, Krejci has amassed 128 goals and 314 assists for 442 points in 586 games.
Earlier this season, the 29-year-old native of Sternberk, Czech Republic was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Month for October.
The Bruins selected the 6’0”, 186-pound forward in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
Vatrano, in the midst of his first full professional season, has skated in 30 games with Boston this year since being recalled for the first time in his career on November 6. He has tallied six goals and an assist for seven points, including his first NHL goal in his first NHL game on November 7 at Montreal.
