Jeremy Smith farmed out to Iowa Wild

600x400_052015_SweeneySmilingBoston, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, October 6, that the club has assigned goaltender Jeremy Smith to the Iowa Wild, AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.

Smith appeared in three preseason games for Boston this year, yielding a 1-0-1 record with a 2.02 goals against average and .922 save percentage.

The 26-year-old netminder played in 39 regular season games for Providence during the 2014-15 season accruing a 22-11-5 record, 2.05 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.

At the American Hockey League level, Smith has a record of 109-71-15 in 204 regular season games, recording a career 2.41 goals against average and .916 save percentage.

Smith played four seasons in the Predators organization from 2009-13 before signing with Columbus as a free agent on July 5, 2013. He played one season in the Blue Jackets organization with their AHL affiliate in Springfield.
