DEVIL’S ADAM HENRIQUE FOLLOWING LOSS TO BRUINS

DEVIL’S ADAM HENRIQUE FOLLOWING LOSS TO BRUINS

NEW JERSEY DEVILS CENTER ADAM HENRIQUE

On the tying goal…
Yeah, it bounced around. It didn’t get it out. I thought maybe it hand passed out front but obviously it either was or wasn’t in. It took a couple of bounces here and there and it ended up in the net.

On knocking the puck in the net…
I tried to hit it away from the middle, but it went the wrong way on me.

On the loss…
I don’t know. Obviously we didn’t come out like we wanted to. We gave way too many chances and they capitalized on it. After that I thought we played solid for the rest of the game. We turned the momentum around and we were playing well and had a big second period.  It was nice going into the third with the lead.

On the second period…
We just started playing harder. We tightened up the defense- that was a big thing. We were still getting a couple of chances in the first but we were giving up everything defensively. We weren’t picking up our guy. We were off on our assignments. That was probably the difference of the game.

On getting a point…
Yeah, it’s big. Obviously the extra point would have been nice but we got to play the same way that we did in the last 40 minutes tomorrow. Come out with a good start.

On Devils approach to Tim Thomas
You got to get pucks to the net and you got to have traffic out front and try and pick up those rebounds that are laying around the crease. He doesn’t give up too much. Obviously he is a great goalie. You just got to get pucks to the net and keep it simple and try and find those bounces.

On attacking the net better in this game than in the pervious three…
I think so. We were getting chances around the net. We were getting our point shots. That was the big thing. We try and work on it and improve. That led to Patty’s [Patrik Elias] goal.
