BOSTON BRUINS RECALL DEFENSEMAN JOE MORROW FROM PROVIDENCE ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS

Boston, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Thursday, April 2, that the club has recalled defenseman Joe Morrow from Providence on an emergency basis. Morrow will join Boston in Detroit and be eligible for Thursday night’s game against the Red Wings.

Morrow has appeared in 15 games for Boston this season, making his NHL debut on October 30, 2014 against the Sabres in Buffalo. The 22-year-old blueliner notched his first NHL goal on November 24, 2014 against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Boston. In his 15 NHL games he has the one goal and a plus-three rating.
