On how it felt to score in the third period…
It felt pretty good- I’m not going to lie. It’s been a little while and it was frustrating to have that one called back, especially when we thought we were going to have the lead with ten minutes left. I thought we played really well after that and it was great that we were able to get the win.

On what it was like to have a goal-scoring drought…
I’ve been though it before, but it’s tough. It feels like bounces and shots that were going in before seem to get blocked or go a little wide. So I’ve said before it’s a game of inches, and you know it’s a matter of an inch or two between a goal or a save. So the main thing is you have to stick with it and eventually you know it’s going to come and it was nice that it came tonight.

On Head Coach Claude Julien saying he was out of sync since coming back from suspension and if he felt that way…
Yeah I did. Any time you have almost two weeks off you definitely get out of sync and I was in a groove there for a bit and when you get out you lose a little bit of your legs and that confidence and it felt a lot better last night and then even more tonight. So hopefully I can continue.

On how tough it was to sit and watch through the challenge and how long it took…
Yeah it’s very frustrating, you know, when things aren’t going right and you have to sit out and especially when the team loses a couple games it makes it a lot harder. But we’re back and we won a couple in a row and hopefully we keep that going.

On sitting through the coach’s challenge tonight during the game…
Oh sorry, yeah. It was tough you know. Well I felt like I had the monkey off my back there and then to have it kind of taken away, which we thought it was a little close and they could have let it go either way. But it was good to get that one at the end.

On how important it was to beat a team in the third period…
Yeah it’s tough when teams score on you late in the game like that and you know it’s nice to be able to win games in regulation and not let teams climb up below you. So I think we have to be happy with that and happy with knowing that we played a full 60 minutes, we played great all the way through and it showed there at the end.

On Torey Krug making the save that he did…
It was huge I mean that saved the game. You know we probably wouldn’t have scored there if he didn’t make that save you know so you have to give him a lot of credit. You know he sacrificed his body and you know he’s the one who put his face in front of the puck and made a big save and ultimately we won because of that.

On if he saw the goalie out of the net or was just trying to get it on net quickly…
Yeah when the forward and the goalie, I think it was the forward that passed it, was pretty much side-by-side so I just wanted to get it off quick and luckily it found the net.
